4th time's the charm?

Upward trend so far…

1st sitting: 650CR, 590M, 600W = 1840

2nd sitting: 670CR, 630M, 670W = 1970

3rd sitting: 730CR, 680M, 680W = 2090

But I’m afraid of the “3x max” I’ve heard from so many people and how colleges look down on it. I’m looking toward the Ivies, so most of them don’t ScoreChoice either.

Also, somebody mentioned making a new account of CB and taking them that way, that’s not possible, is it?

Please help!

It is entirely possible if you register under other address (you can use your grand parents` address ) ,other phone ,and of course you should pay with different credit cart and log-in your new account from other computers. You may use your name ,of course, because there may people with same names (Jack Smith etc) :)

First of all, congrats on your incredible improvement! A 250 point increase is a great accomplishment.

I’m sorry I can’t quite help you in deciding whether or not to take it a fourth time (though, usually it’s very difficult to make a 200 point increase in only one sitting - but you never know! ), I would imagine that if you got caught making a new CB account (and only sending the scores from one account), the consequences would probably be pretty bad.

It is not impossible to make a 250 ,even a 300+ point improvement from January to June ,or Oct.To make such an improvement on CR you need to learn a lot of vocabulary and improve your reading skills by reading some novels ==>this takes time.

For the SATs, the<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools Boardsays:
Quote:
The standard error of measurement (SEM) is approximately 30 points, indicating that, on average, if a test-taker takes the test again, there is a 68 percent chance that his or her second score will fall within a range 30 points above or below the first score.

Are these statistic for US students only ,or they include the international ones too ?

It’s definitely not impossible to improve 200+ points! But like CR7 said, it will take some time and practice.

Statistics don’t really matter a whole lot to an individual - as long as you put forth the effort and time, there should be no reason you can’t defy those stats. Good luck!

Well,I am a soccer player and it is hard to play against a certain team, when according to the statistics, your team has not won against this team in twenty years :D

But ,it really is about practice on the SAT.If you retake the test and you havent studied at all since the last time ,you will probably score less because you will already have forgotten everything you ve learnt

hmmm so you’re saying that taking the SAT more than 4x ISN’T that awful-looking?

If you really improve it - yes ,but if you make a little 30 point improvement than now.Do some official practice tests, and if you see you can improve by 80+ points than go for it
