Montana State University offers an NAAB accredited Masters of Architecture program that can be completed in 5 1/2 years. Has anyone hear of this program? Is there something to watch out for(is the degree considered lesser, is the work load ridiculously overwhelming, will it not cover the same amount of material?) Are there other schools that offer similarly condensed programs?

In the past professional degrees were either a 5 year BArch program or an MArch. In the professional world both were considered equal. Starting about 10-15 years ago some schools such as Tulane and Kansas decided that their 5 year degree required as many hours as a Masters degree and changed their 5 year degree program into an MArch degree. It is still the same degree and it makes no difference what they call it. You still get a professional degree that is more than adequate for practice.
