5 AP courses and extracurricular activities?

Hey everyone, I was wondering about taking 5 AP classes next year (junior year). I am a very hardworking and intelligent student, but is it possible to take 5 AP classes along with my extracurricular activities? I am on the baseball team, and am also ASB president, so I have a lot of involvement with ASB. Also, does ASB president look good on applications? Thankyou :D

Yes it is possible - D did it/ is doing it baseball and drum major 4.0 unweighted. We know others who carry that schedule just fine with several sports, jazz band, ASB. It just depends on your aptitudes and energy level. Something likely goes, though. D doesn’t have a job and doesn’t do all the smaller side clubs that many students do. Still does honor society service and IB CAS etc.

No, take 7 AP’s

Saintfan is right. You have to prioritize your time, and you can’t let anything monopolize your life, but it’s doable. I take five (Statistics, Biology, English Lit, Microecon, and Human Geography), one of which is an easy self-study (APHG); I do this alongside a solid handful of ECs: 650ish volunteer hours in high school, orchestra musician (all-city and all-state), and a few miscellaneous clubs and officer posts. No, my APs aren’t the hardest, but I have a good amount of leisure and I sleep plenty.
