5 on AP = A in college?

Let’s say I get a 5 on both AP Microeconomics and AP macroeconomics.

Now, let’s say I get into UT, but not into McCombs. I want to transfer to McCombs the next year.

I know I’m supposed to take basic business classes in order to do so (like micro and macro). But if I already have 5’s on these APs, does each 5 count as an A for the class?

I know I need a really high GPA to transfer into McCombs, that’s why I’m worrying if I should take AP micro and macro next year and hope to get 5s or if I should wait and take them at UT (assuming I go there)

AP credit does not equate to numerical grades at UT. A ‘CR’ (meaning credit) will appear on your transcript if you score a 4-5 on the AP Micro/Macro Economic exams.
