50 of the Most Beautiful Women Ever - Morphing

Yes. Seriously.

Apparently, Vanessa Williams has done quite a few movies and even more TV shows:

[Vanessa Williams - IMDb](Vanessa Williams - IMDb)

I would say a some of them are stunning, maybe 20% (Grace Kelly, Liz Taylor), most are what I call “movie star beautiful”–that is, they look like movie stars (Katharine Hepburn, Nicole Kidman), and a few just look like they are above average in terms of attractiveness and have makeup on (Helen Hunt, Julia Roberts, Carole Lombard.)

I’d sure add Kim B., as she looked in Batman, and the first I’d eliminate to make room would be Katie Hepburn. I admire her acting skill, but never thought her much of a beauty. Then I’d bring in Scarlett Johanssen, Rosanna Arquette, and Kate Beckinsale and quickly remove J Jones and Audrey Hepburn; personally I think those 2 actresses a bit too thin for my taste. After that I might add Fairuza Balk as she looked in “The Craft”- she always plays quirky parts, but I find her very physically attractive.

I like Kim B too. 9 1/2 Weeks was pretty good. And Kate B.

I think Diane Lane looks great. And Andie MacDowell.

Liz Taylor is and should be on the list.

Where’s Scarlett?? Now, that’s a beautiful woman!

Many of these women I didn’t see as beautiful. And the scope of women were severely narrowed.

This list fell short.

looking back on my proposed changes, Basinger, Balk, and Arquette, it most be something about those lips!
There is a minor actress I’d bring in too, Dolores Moran. She played minor parts(to Have and Have Not, for example), but when she’s onscreen I always notice!

Really? Meg Ryan?

Most of the women who I view as beautiful have full lips, hips, and an overall womanly figure. That takes the majority of the woman in that video out. :)

Many in the beginning were “classically” beautiful and then the “beautifulness” of the women fell drastically around the birth age of the 1930s/1940s.

Michelle Pfeiffer.

Jessica Alba.

I would eliminate some of the women with the above listed characteristics (overly full lips- yuck). Did anyone notice how the majority looked alike, pretty much the same facial features, skin tones as well as makeup et al? Morphing the women from one to another made this more apparent. I do not think Marilyn Monroe is attractive- even with her real hair color, sexy perhaps but never beautiful.

Old standards were of the same boring criteria. Some of the younger women have more character in their looks. I really wonder what many of them would look like without makeup and those hairdos plus unposed expressions.

Definitely NOT the most beautiful women in the world, even the European one. Personality lacking so much- so called inner beauty. Plus pink, shades of brown skin tones. Freckles and other interesting features. No wonder so many women historically felt insecure about their looks- there was one look only set as the standard.

Wis, to be honest, there still IS only one set standard of beauty.

Even beautiful women of color are seen as more beautiful the “whiter” they look (lighter skin, thinner nose, etc).

It’s very sad and, to be honest, something I’ll never fully understand. The “standard beauty” does not appeal to me in any way.

What about beautiful Asian actresses and women? Korean? Japanese? Any other non-European ethnicities? These women in the slideshow are so similar and not a very broad or interesting view of beauty to me.

This thread should be fun.

Himom…give some examples…

Frieda Pinto in Slumdog Millionaire was gorgeous.

The K-dramas are very popular, partly because the women on them are attractive, I’m assuming. If you google, you can find videos on youtube and lists with photos of the most beautiful actresses of various ethnicities, including gorgeous Chinese ones, Filipino ones, Korean ones and more. Have seen some in Flower Drum Song, and other roles.

Yes, the female lead in Slumdog Millionaire was lovely! Sadly, a lot of people are gauging beauty of other ethnicities also on how closely they resemble traditional European looks instead of celebrating their distinctive good looks.

I agree Himom.
Michelle pfieffer?
Really?
Someone who expects sympathy because being pretty is so hard?
Being gorgeous makes 80% of life easier not harder.
Someone who is active & engaged, and interested in others, is much more attractive than someone who is self absorbed.
Wheres Dorothy Dandridge & Lena Horne? Gong Li & Aishwarya Rai Bachchan?
To me, Queen Latifah is more beautiful than some of the thin lipped, squinty eyed, white women on the list.
What about Shakira & Beyonc

This is the list…

“50 of the most beautiful movie stars ever morphing. Interesting to see how styles and fashion have changed over the years.”

The list isnt the 50 most beautiful actresses… Or 50 most beautiful people…

I dont know what Farrah Fawcett is doing in the list…

Julia Roberts was the biggest female movie star of her time.

The list starts from the 1920s…

Good point dstark. How silly of me to read the title rather than fine print :p

OK, sorry, just read the title.

If its a list of big screen beauties, its even more surprising Dorothy Dandridge was left off.
