529 Plan Rollover Question

<p>Can anyone answer this…</p>

<p>We have 3 529 Plans: TR Price (TRP), Alliance Bernstein (AB), and Wells Fargo (WF). </p>

<p>We want to combine them. We want TRP to be the “surviving” plan. But, TRP says we can’t roll AB and WF into our account at the same time. Only one rollover is allowed per 12 months. </p>

<p>So, our advisor asked if we can roll WF into AB. Then AB into TRP. The TRP rep couldn’t answer. Has to check. </p>

<p>Anybody know?</p>

<p>DougBetsy: In your last scenario, that would still be two rollovers for AB, I think…but you may want to call them (AB) to confirm…if they say it’s fine, your idea would work…</p>

<p>I don’t know, but it might go by calendar year so you could do one now and one in January- just an idea, not sure it would work</p>

<p>Alas, no. We asked about calendar year. But the rule goes by 12 month period. :(</p>
