I signed up for the SAT Subject tests in January for Literature and Math Level 1.
Although I’m perfectly fine with Math, I’m not too confident in Literature as I got about 3 questions wrong out of the 10 sample questions.

What books should I buy to study for the test? How difficult is it to get over 555 in Literature?

I wouldn’t recommend taking the literature test if you’re not very good at critical reading. The test had a lot of questions about tone and connotation, from what I could remember. Keep in mind, the practice questions on the website are much easier than the real questions (not just for lit, but for everything).

Also, it’s not possible to get a 555 on an SAT test of any kind…

I agree with @Nerdlings. Literature has an awful curve and is horribly difficult to prepare for. I would switch to any other section you are even vaguely familiar with and buy a prep book for it until you feel prepared. I know a kid with an 800 critical reading but 690 literature - it’s extraordinarily difficult.

So unless you have spend much of your free time analyzing difficult literature, I recommend another test such as US history.

Thank you for the tip guys. May be I should just pay the extra $25 to change to the reasoning test and see how that is.

The problem is that I haven’t received U.S. high school education and I don’t really know all the words in English.

Math is bearable, but biology, history, and other subjects look hard.

What two subject tests would be the easiest to get 555 or over on?
I’m already set on Math Level 1, but I really have no clue for the other subject.
