<p>5’9’s…obviously not tall, but it isn’t “ridiculously short” either. It depends in context, though.
I wouldn’t say worry about your height at 5’9, it’s not like that bad.</p>
<p>I was 4’10 as a 14 year old Freshman, then 5’0 Sophomore, 5’4 Junior, now 5’7 Senior. I hope I’m not done lol</p>
<p>That’s obnoxiously and ridiculously short. Every guy I know is atleast around 6’</p>
<p>5’9 is around average height for males. I’m 5’9.5 and I’ve never gotten s**t for it. Obviously compared to athletes I am short, but in the general public I fall within mid-range.</p>
<p>Also might depend how you hold it up. If you are 5’9 and scrawny w/bad posture like my room mate then you will look even smaller. If you stand straight/tall and have a decent amount of meat on your frame you will be fine.</p>

<p>You generally subtract an inch or two for entertainers. There’s also that phenomenon where for every $100 million an actor’s movie makes, he grows an inch.</p>
<p>when i was a freshman in high school i was about 5’6 5’7 ish when i graduated i was close to 6’1. but whats funny is that all those people that seemed tall freshman year and in middle school…stoped growing. some guys will continue to grow until their early 20’s too</p>
<p>^ Yeah, I was always the tallest kid in elementary and middle school. In 7th grade I towered everybody at 5’6 while most other people were 5’0-5’3. Then people started catching up to me in high school. I reached 5’9.5 around 10th or 11th grade and stopped growing. Now I’m just average in height.</p>

My pediatrician always promised me that I would be 6’2".

<p>I personally prefer taller women, and I’m turned off by women who are very short.</p>
<p>As long as the guy is taller than me, any height is fine. I’d find it weird for a guy around my age or older shorter than my measly 4’9".</p>
