If my 6-8th grade grades are unavailable due to some mis-organization, will that effect how my application looks to the schools of which I am applying?

hmmmmm,i dunno. it shouldn’t effect it too much…but could you get a councelor to attatch some note saying “sorry, couldn’t find grades, but he’s an excellent student, never gets lower then a B!”

Oh Yeah! great idea, thanks!

i know…i’m brilliant. (LOL ;))

Yes Alex this is a serious problem. Your school records are an important part of your application and I think at least public schools are required by law to keep them for a certain length of time anyway. If your school truly did lose your records, maybe you could photo old report cards and then have the school put a cover letter with them and send them to the schools you’re applying to. If you and your school were affected by a natural disaster and your school had poor records storage, have your principal write that. Your school should definitely have this year’s grades to send.
