My junior year im taking 6 AP classes to make up for my freshman GPA. Could you please tell me the rigor of each class please?
AP Lang
AP Lit
AP Physis
AP Bio
AP Calc AB
AP US Government
non AP
Spanish 3 Advanced
Intro to Law

Rigor really depends on the teacher, but generally speaking…

AP Lang - easy, just lots of required reading.
AP Lit - average, just lots of required reading, and poetry sucks.
AP Physics - depends on which Physics. C is pretty demanding; B, not so much.
AP Bio - potential to be difficult. tons to memorize.
AP Calc AB - average, there’s very little material in AB.
AP US Government - easy, lots of common sense

Side note, why are you taking Lit and Lang at the same time…? why not pick some other AP? If not, enjoy doubling up on reading assignments…

To really get a grasp for how hard the courses are, you need to ask students at your school. For example, at some schools, AP Bio is cake. At others, the Bio teachers are absolute slave drivers. Plus, some teachers are just bad at teaching. This is why people can never come to a consensus on how difficult the exams are.

^agreed, why take Lit and Lang together. Take one this year and take the other senior year. Plus, you need english senior year anyways. My advice would be to go lang. first than Lit. Take another ap in place of one of your english class, like AP stats. Something thats an AP thats not too hard, so you can raise your gpa.

AP Lang - hard unless you’re already an amazing writer
AP Physics - it’ll be easy if you’re good at math. precalculus is the minimum math needed, and calc ab is very helpful. problem solving ability is also helpful.
AP Bio - lots of reading, but not hard
AP Calc AB - concepts are easy, but problems are hard
AP Gov - I haven’t taken it, but a lot of kids at my school take the test without the class, so I’m assuming it’s pretty easy

It really depends on the rigor of your school’s academic climate. I am taking 4 of those 6 classes this year and in my opinion:
AP Language/Comp-a lot of reading, particularly essays, and comparing good and bad writing styles. Not nearly as much writing as you would think (but still a fair amount of it).

AP Physics B- not a particularly difficult class, but highly cumulative. Be prepared to memorize lots of equations, not only as definitions, but for application, too.

AP Calc AB-Also very cumulative. Be prepared to learn some pretty crazy definitions and cope with the fact that zero divided by zero does not equal zero.

AP Gov- A fun class because most of it can be applied to current media and politics. You do a lot of reading, for both content (political attitudes and history), as well as context (historical as well as the writer’s bias).

AP Lang - very easy

AP Lit - harder than language but still manageable…however most people take language as a junior and lit as a senior, which I highly recommend. That way, you’ll have AP English classes for 2 years.

AP Physics - B or C? I think it’s easy (I’m in B, my school doesn’t offer either C), but that’s because I love Physics and it’s my favorite class. It’s one of those things where you either get it or you don’t. If you understand physics, you’ll do great. If you don’t understand it, you’ll fail.

AP Bio - I have a love/hate relationship with AP Bio. It was one of my favorite classes, and it was so interesting, and I loved all of the labs that we did. But it was one of the hardest classes I’ve ever taken because there are so many facts and figures and concepts about it.

AP Calc AB - Easy

AP US Government - Haven’t taken it. Rumor has it that it has a hefty workload but is still manageable.

Spanish 3 Advanced - Depends on the teacher.

Intro to Law - Depends on the teacher
