62% of White Evangelical Protestants...

identify themselves primarily by their religion first, rather than as Americans. Is this a problem?

“Forty-seven percent said they consider themselves Muslim first, rather than American. Forty-two percent of Christians and 62 percent of white evangelical Protestants identified themselves primarily by their religion in earlier surveys.”

It shouldn’t be a problem, mini. After all, the phrase is “God and Country”, in that order.

The real problem, in my opinion, is that too many people identify themselves by their religion, but their religion may not recognize them!

Not a problem, as long as they don’t believe a tenet of their religion is to kill or conquer anyone who doesn’t practice it.

Does kind of make you wonder what the real intent of the “culture war” is, now doesn’t it?

What do you mean? I don’t understand what you’re getting at.

corranged, what I meant was that the Ku Klux Klan called themselves Christians, but I don’t think Christ would call them Christians.

Got it. Thanks.
