65 years later, it's still about the "fit"

<p>I had to laugh when I received this in an email from an assisted livinng community we are considering for my mom–</p>

And now that I’ve met your Mom, and got to know her a bit, she may not feel she will fit in at the other community of consideration as your Mom strikes me as down to earth, or as she said, “simple”, and the other environment is a bit more like a country club . . . but I think she will see that on her own.

<p>For sure, Harvard is cheaper.</p>

<p>JUST settled mom and dad into a CCRC two weeks ago (assisted living combined with independent living). And yes, finding the right place was very much like looking for the right school for D. The school analogy is in fact the running joke with mom,dad and I. Mom says she is going out for cheerleading and dad is going to pledge with a fraternity.
I that I do suggest the possibility of a “sleep over” or even just a meal at the facility before she chooses.</p>
