690 physics SATII?

Is a 690 (60 percentile) on physics SATII below average for MIT? Does it matter if I’m not going to major in physics anyway? I want to major in computer science and math. Math 2: 800.

thanks!

this is likely below average for MIT… but probably not for other places

Why would a math/CS major be expected to know physics? Physics majors don’t really have CS requirements. Should art majors be required to know variational calculus? Does anyone even care about specialization?

^ok they’re not expected to know it, but for purposes of admission, they’re expected to know it.

I’m not trying to major in biology or world history, but i still had to know it and do well on them cuz i’m tryna get into college.

It does matter if you’re not going to major in physics. You’ll be required to take two physics courses at MIT regardless of your major.

The 25th/75th percentile scores for the science SAT II for MIT admits are 710 and 800. ([stats](http://www.mitadmissions.org/topics/apply/admissions_statistics/index.shtml))

thanks guys, does anyone know what the 25th/75th percentile scores for the science SAT II for other top schools are? post links please.
