For my senior year, I am enrolled in AP English Literature, AP Macroeconomics, AP US Government, AP Physics C:Electronics and Magnetism, AP Spanish Language, AP Statistics, and AP Calculus BC. Can anyone give any tips for preparation and/or how to maintain grades/sanity throughout the year on any of these classes? Thanks.
which subjects are you best at??
I always tend to do better with history and I am highly fascinated by the entire subject of economics. I also excel at writing and English, and Spanish is also a very strong subject of mine. I feel that Physics C and AP Calculus will be the hardest for me.
I would consider if you need all of those…where are you thinking about applying? Do you think you will get 5’s on the AP tests?

I would consider just taking these 5.
If I were you, I would probably drop AP Statistics because it is one of the “easier” APs and won’t really enhance your college application. I’d only take it if you are interested in any math or related majors (and in that case, I’d drop one of the Social Studies APs).
My advice to you, though, is make sure to be active in class. It will be a lot easier to remember the material if you answer/ask questions during class. Also, hand-write your notes instead of typing them because students generally retain more information when they write it out. Don’t be afraid to ask for extra help.
Make a schedule. Find a calendar and mark all dates where you have tests, quizzes, presentations, and major assignments due. You can then use the calendar to mark designated days in which you will work to prepare for whatever it may be. You might even want to go as far as designating when after school you may want to begin your homework (for example: you might say that you begin your homework from 2:30-4:00, take a break and do whatever, and then go back to it at around 7:00 PM).
I recommend using Quizlet because you can practice using flaschards, tests, and games. It might be a more interactive way to study.
Good luck with your classes!
I am thinking about applying to UChicago, UPenn, Pomona, Claremont McKenna, Vassar, Haverford, University of Alabama at Birmingham, and the University of Utah. I think if I can maintain my grades throughout the year and do a good job in class, then I can get all 5s. Also, the way history works at my school is, AP US Gov and AP Macroeconomics are combined into one period for the year. We don’t have the option to take one or the other.
I agree that you might wanna drop AP Stats
You’re not gonna maintain your sanity with that schedule.
I third the idea of dropping stats, and maybe English Lit if you’ve already taken lang.
Drop AP stats (if you plan to major in stem - take stats in college) or AP calculus bc (if you’ve taken ab already and don’t plan to major in stem) .
Then, depending on the academic area that interests you most, replace either physics C (if you’re aiming for social science, business, humanities, take a class that helps with those, or apes) or English literature (replace with honors English).
Colleges won’t expect more than 4 your senior year (counting macro and gov as one), and 4-8total.
