7 Sisters Scholarships

Hey, I am planning on applying to a few of the seven sisters, such as Smith, Wesleyan, Bryn Mawr etc. I want to major in duel engineering so I can go to an ivy league for a fraction of the regular price. Which of the seven sisters gives the best merit scholarships? I do not believe I qualify for financial aid. Thank you very much for your time.

The Ivy League portion of the 3+2 program is only need based financial aid. There will be no merit money.

Merit scholarships are financial aid. Yes, I realize that when you say you don’t “qualify for financial aid,” you are probably talking only about need-based aid, but using the terminology correctly helps to reduce confusion and avoid misunderstandings.

You can check each of the sister’s websites to find out whether or not they currently offer any merit-based aid. It is my understanding that at least Bryn Mawr and Mount Holyoke have awarded merit-based aid in recent years. However, I don’t know what their current policies are.

Smith offers its own engineering program, so that could be an option for you.

By Wesleyan, you meant Wellesley of course.

If merit is what you’re needing, you won’t find it at Wellesley, nor Barnard.
