I am all for less dense housing. It takes a certain kind of person to be happy living in a triple. I sure wasn’t that person, and do not want that for DD.
The free online textbooks are nice. DD is using one for her summer class right now. I offered several times to buy her the print version because I personally find print books easier on the eyes (and she could highlight ideas and take notes in the margins). She declined. The younger generation is much more comfortable with it, I guess. I have a feeling they might pay for it by needing a lot of eyeglass prescriptions later. For sure I will be needing a visit to the optometrist after my own increase in screen time during covid.
