I’ve been looking into several schools that have 7 year md programs. I was wondering whether you still have to choose a major if you are in that program? Do you still major in something or is this program considered your major?
Hi! I recently asked this question to a health adviser of an undergraduate college that has a 7 year program. She stated that you still get to choose your major as long as you meet the course requirements (organic chem, etc), so yes you choose a major as well.
I also believe that for a 7 year program, some schools might not even award a bachelor’s degree–just the medical one. So check with the college and program you’re looking at!
