<p>A 730 is about the 73rd percentile, and so it is neither a spectacular nor a bad score; however, neither USC nor NYU requires subject tests from everyone; so, the subject test might not even be necessary.</p>
<p>If you want to retake it, you should probably determine whether you can really do better. I would suggest taking the college board SAT math subject test book’s two real SAT Math II tests (if you haven’t done so already), and seeing how you score. If you really think you can review, and score much higher, then you might want to retake, but otherwise it would probably be a waste of time and money, especially if the test is not even required.</p>
