Hi, first of all, let me introduce my self. I am a state university student who wants to transfer college. I recently took SAT 2 Math in June (after graduate high school) and I got 730 with 53th percentile. You guys think Is it okay? or should I take it again??
I am currently taking Pre-calc in college, so I am pretty sure I can get more than 730 if I retake it though… But it is wasting money, I won’t do it.
Wish to transfer college: Emory University, Syracuse University
Where are you now? Why do you want to transfer?
To me 730 seems pretty good unless you are aiming at MIT (which is almost impossible to transfer into).
^^^ Yes, a 730 is actually pretty solid. However, if you’re shooting for a transfer seat at a particularly competitive engineering / mathematics program, then you should consider retaking it.
My major is Political Science, though…
@TransferStalker @DadTwoGirls I am in normal state university 1st year… Also majoring in Political Science. I just took SAT 2 because it looks more better tbh. so you guys think it’s not bad for the guy who majors in political science?
Hahaha. You didn’t need to take the SAT II at all in that case. If you’re attempting to transfer another university as a political science major, they won’t be particularly interested in a SAT II Math.
To apply for transfer, focus on your college GPA. Little attention is paid to test scores after high school graduation.

If I am transferring for sophomore year would they pay attention to my SATII scores?
@woodmoon i ,of course, care about my college GPA, but my college classes are really easy to get 4.0, but my sat score and sat2 score are really low that was why i was very worried about…
