Hello College Confidential,
I am a Seventh Grader who has compiled a list of schools that I wish to attend (however, this list may be altered, as there is a secondary school fair at my school next Wednesday). I was wondering which parts of the application are most important, any tips from previous applicants, and for any experiences that may be useful. A master list for next year, if you will.
Please ask any questions, and see my other posts for my stats.
bump bump I’m a 7th grader also, which schools R U applying to? I’m applying to a few day schools but mostly boarding schools. Rlly ppl, like 194 visits and one one reply??? [-( [-X One piece of advice I have to offer is to start studying SSAT stuff now, take at least 2 full length practice tests as similar to the real deal as possible, make vocabulary flashcards, read more literture, etc.
@KimberlyLaila and @williamlegit. Let me clue you in on something in case you haven’t already figured it out.
There is no magic formula or checklist to follow in order to guarantee boarding school acceptance. There are lots of kids who apply each year with 90+ percentile SSATs and straight A average who get rejected.
Do your homework by reading past threads (especially the useful one above by @sevendad). Then come back to us when you have specific questions.
@sgopal2 I definately know that there is no magic formula for acceptance. I’ve been on CC for a little over a year now.The OP was just trying to make an advice masterlist. There are tons of masterlists on CC for other things,to organize scattered info into one convient place, and the same applies here.
