<p>Folks I just called up the admissions office to bug them for decision dates and the reply I got was “Possibly this week, but there’s no certain date.”</p>
<p>This just gets better and better.</p>
<p>well that’s why you don’t bug them. i bet they moved it back just for you.</p>
<p>That’s just what they say whenever they are asked.</p>
<p>^I hope you’re right but according to the College Board we will hear one of these two days.</p>
<p>possibly this week? not before 15th? I think it should be Monday or Tuesday local time. I remember somebody said UChicago is quite famous for not telling decision dates-somebody called one day and asked the time, AO said he was not sure. but the results were released just that afternoon! </p>
<p>anyway, I think I cannot wait any longer. I CAN DO NOTHING NOW! except thinking about the school.</p>
<p>The College Board website is often wrong. Don’t trust it.
Last year, the College Blog made a post the morning that decisions were released that said something to the effect of, “HOLY CRAP GUYS WE HAVE NO IDEA WHEN THE DECISIONS WILL BE RELEASED NOW SHUT UP.” Then they released.</p>
<p>dawncoming is right - that happened last year. some guy called, was told decisions weren’t that day, then they came out later that afternoon.</p>
<p>i can only hope i’m this year’s version of that guy who called.</p>

<p>If it doesn’t come tomorrow then it’s likely that we’ll hear only on Friday or so.</p>

<p>Also, the whole logic of decisions possibly being released tomorrow because the office closes early is also true of Friday, when the office closes even earlier.</p>
<p>I think the thought was that it may be the admissions faculty leaving early for break.</p>
<p>Not to mention that the early closing on the 15th was only announced late last week, leading many to believe that it was added because the admissions office had chosen a date for releasing decisions.</p>
<p>Makes sense. And it sort of works with the whole College-Board-says-15th thing.</p>
<p>Also, the time of closure on Friday is much too early to be a release time (it’s 12:00 PM).</p>
<p>Yes yes, alright. Point taken mate. There’s no need to try awfully hard to prove to me that it’s going to be tomorrow. I’ve agreed that it will probably be the case. But I tend towards mentally readying myself for worse scenarios and then being pleasantly surprised.</p>

<p>No, I do anticipate and actively hope for pleasant outcomes. But part of increasing that sense of satisfaction involves, for me at least, considering the possibility of a less pleasant or an altogether unpleasant outcome.</p>
