Young transfers

3.75 GPA
Anthropology major (going to look at engineering, computer science/graphic design, physics as well)

It’s awesome to see others my age transferring early too!

I forgot to post on this thread!

I’m 16!(: I got to skip a couple of grades because my teachers saw how bored I was! School in Asia is much more difficult, haha!

Psychology, 3.95ish. Planning to get my Ph.D or Psy.D not sure yet! But will be going to Graduate School after undergraduate studies!

Wondering between UCLA and Cal if I get in tho, Cal for sure!^^

Well if you go to UCLA, all us younger people should meet up xD

haha yunie, clan [sk]? hahaha

I’m 17 (I’ll turn 18 in November, so I’m not as young as some of the other people here, but still 2 years ahead! [:)

Finished high school in 3 years, finished CC in one

Philosophy Major
3.62

Good to see I’m not the only young transfer!

We can make a club! :P

lol well I did just turn 19. I skipped a grade, and I thought I was young…guess not! lol.

But then again, those of us on College Confidential are generally above the mean for transfers in terms of stats. haha I’m not surprised at all that we have a handful of teenage transfers!

btw I haven’t seen her post in this thread, but lenoradusk will be 15 when she starts in the fall.

I don’t think I’de want to be that young. Just thinking about what I was like at 15 and then thinking what it would be like to be in college. I guess if she likes thats good though.

Hi,

DD will be a young applicant (16) when she applies. I was wondering, for those who have been admitted, how/whether you mentioned this in your college app?

Thanks

I applied last year as a junior level transfer at 17 years of age, and was admitted to all the schools I applied to. I didn’t mention my age in my personal statements; rather, I tried to show that I possessed an equivalent amount of maturity and experience in my field of choice as, say, a 20 year old transfer applicant.

Thanks, I think I’m trying to figure out how to position it as a plus. She is mature for her age and is doing very well in school but then that would be true for most admitted students.
