Full tuition merit scholarship - has anyone gotten it?

or, how do you qualify as top 2% of the applicant pool?

or what might be the minimum sat score required for it to be safe to assume that one is in the top 2%

any feedback is appreciated.

and also, for the pre-med advising program with tufts medical school, is the MCAT required? I read one on website that it is, but on another that its not. And if i chose to do pre-med advising, if I’m not mistaken, I believe I can major in something else which is of my interest. Would that mean that i would participate in co-op with my main major, or with the biology/pre-med?

Oh, one more question. If you do early action, NEU waits to see the other applicants before it makes any scholarship decisions right?

Thanks and if anyone has any questions or needs advice, I would be more than glad to return the favor.

Keshav,
There are lots of threads about merit scholarships on this forum. Generally speaking, there is no given. Students who apply EA are notified of the scholarships later. The merit scholarships seem to be somewhat based on geography, major, SAT score, gpa, etc. Students with one SAT score may get more merit money than a student with a higher SAT.
As far as the top 2% goes, you can look at the freshmen profile and get an idea but it will only be idea.
If I remember correctly there are only three full tuition merit scholarships. There are specific criteria for them, you might poke around on the neu website to find the information.
I’m not sure what your question is about the MCAT. Freshmen undergrad applicants would not take the MCAT as far as I know.
Coop participation is by major.

“students who apply EA are notified of the scholarships later”. That was not the case with us. We were notified upon EA acceptance that D received the dean’s scholarship. Then later on (after RD) D received additional scholarship…all merit based. As far as the number of full tuition merit scholarships, I don’t think there are only 3. I believe it is the top 1 or 2 percent that receive this. My D’s roommate happens to be there on a full tuition merit scholarship - SAT’s 1550/1600.
