A "C" in language going to prevent College acceptance?

So I took D.E Spanish 1 and 2 at my community college, but I ended getting a C for both… I completed French 1 my freshman year but didn’t continue. I’m currently a sophomore. My current GPA is 4.67 weighted and 3.8 unweighted (without those C’s). I have a decent amount of extra-curricular (Sports/Clubs/etc.) and 200 hours recorded currently.

I am taking the following Junior year:
AP Psych
AP Lit
AP Physics
AP Stats
D.E 3 & 4 (at my high school…but it will be a lot easier from what I heard. I had to take it at the college because they ran out of space at the school)
Wind ensemble’s 3 honors
D.E Algebra/Trig
D.E Intro to Computer App

PSAT: 1924
Have not taken the SAT yet.

But will this hinder my chances with College acceptance from the following:
UCLA
University of Florida
University of Berkeley
University of Michigan

bump…

A few poor subjects shouldn’t shut you down. Your grades are pretty great. Just keep it up and get your ECs perfect, you know?

A C in a college course when you are a Sophomore in HS is a pretty decent grade. I expect a fair number of your classmates who were college-age students earned Cs as well. Don’t expend any more energy worrying about this.

I’d be more worried about that school selection. Are you in-state for any of them? The OOS schools will cost you $50K/year. Are your parents going to pay that?

Greetings CleanerX. Any subpar grade is not going to reflect positively on you, but one won’t ruin your chances if everything else remains strong. Additionally, you went out of your way to take those courses at a community college, so that may be more of a plus than a detraction. A community college language class will have a much more rigorous pace than that of its high school counterpart, and any college to which you apply will know that. On a side note, I fail to understand how you are taking AP Physics as a trigonometry student. That’s puzzling, unless of course you are in the AP B class (good class; I took it before C.) Sorry for sidetracking, but I can’t really evaluate your chances at those schools, especially without an SAT, ACT, or subject test scores. Your PSAT is indicative of a good SAT score though, so best of luck with that. On another side note, as you start applying to colleges, I warn to refrain from posting “chance” threads on here, as they are incredibly bias and are not really indicative of your chances. You know your scores, course rigor, activities, and grades yourself and can easily make a judgement.

Let me stop sidetracking. Again, the grades won’t hurt you and attending a community college at that young age would make an interesting college essay.
