So I was recently in the bathroom when I had an interesting idea.

There are a lot of great SAT guides out there written by CC users. But each of them is written by one or a handful of users, who may favor one method over another; I know that’s what I did when I wrote my guide. Truth be told, there are a variety of different methods/opinions/competing camps when it comes to SAT studying and the SAT’s effect on admissions.

The idea I had was what if there was a guide written by many CC users with high scores? A truly collaborative effort done democratically designed to capture all of the competing viewpoints regarding SAT study. Incorporated in this there could be polls and surveys to capture how common each method is.

A lot of the threads here ask the same handful of questions: “should I retake” “how can I improve this section” or “is my score high enough.” This hypothetical guide could also include general guidelines and commentaries answering these questions.

Am I proposing that his guide be made? Not really; I’m really seeing what people think of this hypothetical idea. Obviously it would be very difficult to orchestrate and coordinate and may not be necessary given the many guides already available. Most likely it would never be made, but perhaps a future generation of CC users will be interested.

Comments? Questions? Criticisms? Rants?
