Thanks guys

i think you have as good a chance as anyone. (and i mean that as a compliment. :] )

I wouldn’t worry too much about your SAT’s, your ACT’s are strong and you show a lot of passion indeed.

3 sports, drama, choir, 500 + hours of volunteering, all while having/recovering from (I’m assuming) a kidney transplant?

Wow. Best of luck to you! I’m truly impressed.

Oh boy, another Indian premed.
Other than that you have a lot going for you, I’d say you have as much of a chance as the rest of us.

Ironmetal - don’t say it like that.

I’m assuming your name is Ashwin?

Your profile is astonishing. Grades/APs/Stan.Tests are all there (They’ll forgive a 2 on an AP if you were recovering from/experiencing problems that led to an organ transplant)
and that you have demonstrated BOTH breadth and depth of commitment (choir/research/volunteering) makes you stand out in your ECs.

I’d say you have as good a shot (if not substantially better) than anyone else.
And if you get into Yale, you’ll have an awesome answer for the “Hello, beta, what standard are you in?” question.

true that mummy and papa will be very proud.

you def look great all across

How do you have time to do all that, honestly? Do you sleep?

Haha yea I do get enough sleep actually. My EC’s are spaced out through my high school years. Just look at the years. A lot of them are present still, but some of them I did Junior and Sophomore year like my research which was doing the summer and my volunteering too. So I’m not like a superhuman or anything :)

I say the key is picking out what’s most important to you. Colleges generally don’t like to see a laundry-list of EC’s. They only allow for 7 (I actually put only 4 on mine). You have a great chance.
