<p>I think I know the answer to (2). If you delete songs from ITunes, when you update your IPod, those songs will also be gone 
Yup, we were also trying to free up some space from our dying computer. Now i am going to add more memory.</p>

there are many programs available to transfer dvd’s to ipod. You can google “dvd transfer ipod” or something similar and come up with many. I use pqdvd and I like it. Very user friendly. I think it costs about $30 and is available for download online. A trial version is also available, but I don’t think you can transfer a whole movie.</p>
<p>you can set the itunes program to only update manually, look at the appl website to find out how. If you do this you have to do everything manually though, which can be annoying sometimes.</p>

If you have iTunes (if not, download it). Go to iTunes store, then podcasts, then search for air america. Subscribe.
Or, Air America probably has a place on their website which allows you to download a podcast of the show you want.</p>

<p>Podcasts are often if not usually free from iTunes. </p>
<p>If you set the IPod updates to be done manually from your computer rather than automatically/totally, you can just add whatever you want from ITunes individually at the time you add it to your computer. I am not very good at expalining this but I did print out the whole IPod instruction manual (available online) and am now able to get stuff onto both my IPod and my husband’s frim our respecxtive computers without inadvertently adding or losing things. Having the detailed instructions ready to refer to makes a huge difference to me.</p>
<p>Hey, is it possible to install itunes on the D drive or does it automatically default to C? My H installed and set his up on C, contrary to my directions & his partitioned drive has a small C which is now overly full of tunes! I need to help him move it to D, but am trying to figure out the best way to do it without losing anything…and I do not speak itunes, don’t have a pod, but I am the tech maintenance person.</p>

<p>Set iTunes to update iPod manually. With your iPod plugged in to the CPU and iTunes open, drag the downloaded podcast from iTunes to the iPod. And there it is!</p>
