A couple of questions

Hi, I wanted to ask a couple of questions involving admissions.

I am predicting to have around a 3.2-3.4 uf gpa. Since it is a low gpa, i was wondering that if i do good on the sat, around 2000+, would that balance out the low gpa? I did bad in my freshman and sophomore years of high school, but then I started doing better in junior year. I heard upward trends in GPA are good.

I am taking credit recovery online at Florida Virtual School, and I think that I won’t finish until September. I plan to apply around the beginning of October. Will those credit recovery grades be calculated in my GPA? I was thinking that they won’t, but if they go on my transcript, I guess they will calculated in my GPA.

I am planning to major in zoology, because i want to become an ornithologist. I don’t have a lot of ECs, but they all are involving my love of birds, so will UF take that into consideration?

Thanks in advance

If you can finish FLVS and get a 2000+ i think you will be a maybe. Try to get involved this senior year… Your GPA is close to a few I’ve seen who got in. But they had 1900+ on SAT.

if you can get those grades replaced after you sent your application in, contact UF and see if they can do anything. if you get rejected, you can appeal.

but a 2000+ score would also go a long way. and don’t underestimate the importance of strength of schedule.

Well I am taking 4 APs senior year, and I always took honors classes throughout high school.
