A D for non-academic subject ??

I was admitted by U-M in EA and I am going to send the first semester grade soon.

AP Lit A
AP Human Geo A
Linear Algebra (beyond AP) B
AP Computer Sci B
Business study A
Biology A

Here is my concern since my school requires each student to finish up 2 non-academic subjects

P.E. (Swimming) A

Technology ( Fashion design) D !!!
Attendance is 60% percent of the grade. I missed lots of class since I am an international and needed to fly to other cities to take SAT on Friday. Tech class is always on Friday.

Does the D in Tech matter to U-M, Honor Program and Ross PA ??
Thank you !

You’ll have no issues. Class is close to meaningless and your other grades are great.

They will probably ask about it because colleges start freaking out with the presence of C’s or anything lower. However, it’s one D…and it’s first semester. So, if you get good grades 2nd semester, that D will be insignificant almost.

Also, if they do ask about it, just tell them about your traveling situation so they know that you weren’t slacking but rather under certain restraints. You’ll be fine!! #GOBLUE

They’ll ask about it, most likely. Just be honest with them. They probably won’t do anything about it, they’d just like to know just in case it was a situation in which action needed to be taken.
