DD and I have 2 days in the Cleveland area and will spend one at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Any suggestions for something to do with the other day?

If you and your daughter like professional football, it’s definitely worth the one hour drive to Canton to see the pro football Hall of Fame. My family really enjoyed that. Also, I can suggest one great restaurant for dinner in Cleveland. It’s called Crop. Kind of pricy but worth it.

Lots of fun things to do in Cleveland–a good way to start off would be to take a tour on Lolly the Trolly: [Lolly the Trolley - Trolley Tours of Cleveland](http://www.lollytrolley.com/) A two-hour tour all around the city–lots of interesting information and things to see. The Cleveland Art Museum is being totally renovated, most of it is complete, and the art collection is fabulous–and its free to get in. Little Italy, near Case-Western, is a good place to get meals and Italian pastries, and it’s next door to Lakeview Cemetery, where John D. Rockefeller and President Garfield are buried–there is an absolutely beautiful chapel there–the Wade Chapel, which was designed and built by Tiffany, and has an incredible stained-glass window. Playhouse Square is the largest theater district outside of NYC–and there are many things ongoing there. The Cleveland Orchestra has concerts at Blossom outdoor theater throughout the summer. It depends on what your daughter would be interested in seeing–art, music, shopping restaurants, museums–many possibilities.

Cleveland has a really nice zoo; even though I am not a fan of animals in captivity, D bought me a membership and we go regularly. The Botanical Gardens is a great spot and the Art Museum next door has an excellent collection. I would strongly advise against walking in areas of University Circle where you and your D would be the only ones. There have been numerous daylight muggings lately and the UC police seem to be incapable of catching the criminals. Coventry Road has some unique shopping- a very 60’s vibe and Tommy’s has a huge menu of almost anything you could think of. About 15 minutes up Cedar Rd is Legacy Village, an outside shopping mall (plus Nordstrom’s Rack)that also has some nice places to eat (love the Melting Pot, a fondue restaurant).
For dinner or lunch on either day go to Little Italy. Although not the fanciest or most expensive spot, try Trattoria and then go to Presti’s for dessert (you’ll really need to take some cream puffs and cannoli home with you!).
PM me if you have any more questions!

I love Cleveland restaurants. Somehow I am impressed with them more than in NYC. I am talking about places close to Case.
