"A decision has been rendered."

“Your application for undergraduate admission has been reviewed and a decision has been rendered. You will receive notification of this decision via postal mail.”

What does this mean? Does “rendered” mean either accepted, denied, or deferred? Or does it just mean I will find out in the mail and they won’t post it online?

rendered means your going to find out in the mail- rendered means decided

I have been informed by my mom that “A decision has been rendered.” is the polite way of saying “denied”. She talked to an admissions person about a month ago who said that if you are accepted or deferred, it says so, but if you are denied, this is all it says.

Have you recieved you letter? What did it say?

The letter came back in the middle of December, saying I was denied. However, I wrote a successful appeal letter, and have been un-denied (status is deferred).
