<p>I’m thinking of starting to prepare a package of things to send if I’m deferred - possibly a portfolio of short stories and poetry, a CD of myself playing the piano, a letter explaining why Yale is my first choice, and a few extra recommendations. (Things I would have sent with my application if I had more time.)</p>

<p>Well, maybe not THAT much. 
I think IF I’m good enough to be deferred, I’d send the letter explaining that Yale is very much so my first choice, some updates with things i’m doing in school (showing my passions sort of), and some more awardy stuff that I hopefully will get.</p>
