A Different "chances" Thread

Ok its not that different, but what do you think?

SAT I: 740 math, 670 verbal
SAT II: 760 Math IIc, 680 US History, 670 Writing (retaking writing in Jan)

AP: 4 - English Language and Composition
4 - US History
4 - Euro history

Taking 3 more AP’s this year: AP Calc BC, AP Stats, AP Physics C

I’m in all the top classes

School doesn’t rank or have a GPA, but my transcript is probably my weak point…good # of B’s, some A’s in math, and a glaring C+ in english junior year…these grades sound really really bad but its a tough private school which does no grade inflation whatsoever. And that is mostly recognized by colleges that know the school.

I am a road cyclist/racer. Train over 20 hours a week. Wrote my essay on that. 2 time NY state junior champion, over 25 race wins in 2 years, racing in poland last year, etc

recs are probably really good, peer rec i think is REALLY good (i didnt read it but the person who wrote it said it was 1200 words and she spent a lot of time on it), my essays are decent

the real question is: how much does cycling weigh into the picture?
thanks in advance

Just average chances IMO to be honest.

Cycling is interesting, and adds that extra edge to your character, but unless they can do soemthing with you as a cyclist (i.e. joining the cycling team as a recruit), it will not help at all other than simply existing as an interesting EC.

Also, given that your AP test scores are all 4’s, there seems to be quite a bit of grade inflation at your school.
