So, I’m not a typical student- I was ‘home-schooled’ via an online program due to a sleeping disorder, somehow managed to make it through to a state school for less than a semester where I had to withdraw again due to the same sleeping disorder. Now that I’ve got my sleep affairs in order, I would like to try and live a more normal life- starting with college. I’m planning to take some more classes at a community college and prep for the ACT to raise my score, hopefully for the chance of more financial aid and maybe a better school.

Anyway; back-story over, now onto essays. As I said in my opening, I’m atypical. I don’t really know how to write a “real” essay (as I never went to high school to learn to write them), but I can tell stories. I was wondering how a story-type essay would look to colleges?

Thank you!
