If you are applying to a school that does not require SAT II upon admissions, but later you decide you want to transfer to a school that does, do you need to have SAT II’s taken previously (is there an age limit for the actual taking of the SAT?)

I’m sure many of the upcoming seniors don’t know what they want to major in, and that makes it very difficult to search for colleges, but may anyone please tell me some websites where I can search up colleges, strengths/weaknesses, etc…

I like College Board’s College Search feature for searching online. Some people will recommend Princeton Review’s Counselor-O-Matic, but I think it’s rather in accurate and it doesn’t look for what you value the most.

I recommend running multiple searches and making separate lists for each one. Then look for overlaps. Change a few things each time on your search. For instance, in one search you may specify that you want only universities that guarantee undergraduate housing, but in another search you may select “no preference” to allow for more options.

Once you get a list of about 25 or so, come on to CC and read the forums for each college (if it has a forum). You might also want to ask a few questions on the College Search & Selection forum, where people will help you narrow down your list based on your values.

There’s no age limit. If you think you might need sat 2 scores later, you could take them in fall or winter, anytime after you submit your sat 1 scores to your colleges. Then they won’t see them, and you don’t have to worry about forgeting the material or taking them while at college.
