I’m currently a junior and my GPA is around 3.1 right now. Its not the greatest GPA but its a huge improvement compared to my GPA before. During my freshman year my GPA was around the 2.0 area. My sophomore year it raised to 2.8. So basically it went from 2.0 > 2.8 > 3.1. What I’m wondering is if Rutgers actually cares for improvement or do they just look at the final GPA?

Another problem of mine is that I stayed back during sophomore year. I didn’t stay back because of academic problems but because I went to Korea for half a year due to personal issues. Will Rutgers make this into a big deal and make it a lot harder for me to get accepted?

One last question is… does being Asian make it harder for me to get accepted into Rutgers?
