Does anyone want to join me in staying in past midnight and filling out Fafsa online? I hear that a glass of champagne or two beforehand makes the process much easier.

I’m in, buddy!

We’re with ya’!!!

We’re “supervising” a kid party tonight, and I was laughing with my husband about spreading out all our papers, the computer and everything (a bottle or two of wine) right on the kitchen table in the middle of the party and doing FAFSA.

Alas, maybe we’ll do it in our bedroom with the laptop.

Hahaha. I will be doing it as I anxiously await the phonecall from my D who is going into Boston’s “First Night”, to confirm that she made it back on the “T” to her friend’s house safely. I need the distraction.

Well, how did it go? I waited until the FAFSA site was ready, maybe 1:30 a.m. Eastern time, and then I finished it in one fell swoop. I hope I did everything correctly, but I know I will have the chance to update the numbers later.

I had filled out the worksheet beforehand, but I found it wasn’t that helpful. Last year’s tax return was the essential item.

I fell asleep about 11:00pm. Got up at 1:00am and went to bed.
Party at our house went until about 3:00am.

Husband is working on it now. :D

Started filling out worksheet yesterday…found out I have everything except DH’s taxable income-Why, Oh Why is it not on his year end payment stub??? It’s the last piece of info I need for both FAFSA and Profile. Oh well, he’ll get his W-2 info tomorrow at work, so it should be ready to go then.

Yikes you all make me feel like I’m really behind. Don’t think we will get it started 'till the 3rd as there is too much going on today and tomorrow. Still for us that is pretty good as my husband traditionally gets our tax return sent off on April 15th (which was especially fun the year he was hospitalised the evening of the 14th an Mrs Clueless (me) was trying to finish it off and get it sent) - so we are 3 months ahead of where we normally are!
