Hopefully, Philippines will not become a “practicing target” for N. Korea’s missle program!
Although I do not believe the “big dogs” like US, China, Russia, (to a less extent) Japan should be the police for the world, I think it is not fair to ask a poor little country like Philippines to take the hit for the rest of the world.
In the past centuries or so, these countries suffered a lot (used as pawns or buffers by the real big players of the world.) Yes, Korea before it broke up into two countries was a “victim” when the western countries including US at one time directly or indirectly encouraged Japan’s aggression in the name of the national interests: helping fight the big heavily-militarized bully: Russia. Also, Philippines suffered greatly before 1900 in the T. Roosevelt era.
All countries should really act together to fight this rather than just use these poor little countries as pawns and as their “battle ground.”
