A good heart does not require a degree

Seems like the waiter has what counts.

[Waiter hailed as hero after standing up for boy with Down syndrome - TODAY.com](Waiter hailed as hero after standing up for boy with Down syndrome)

Wow – what an impressive thing he did. I don’t think I would have had the presence of mind and courage to say anything (and risk my job). I’d think of what to say later, after the moment had passed, but he spoke up right away.

Anderson Cooper interviewed him and at the end of the interview surprised him with a day off at a spa. The waiter’s jaw dropped. I was happy for him.

Love that story, 07Dad.

I like your post.

What kind of person would say such a thing as the other customer did…in front of his/her family, no less? I cannot believe how little compassion some people have for others. I am very happy the waiter made up for it in this case, though.
