I’m trying to choose my A&I course, and I was wondering if anyone has any input on the following courses/professors…quality of professor/difficulty of class/interesting-ness. Thanks!

Historical Archaeology: Materializing Race, Gender, and Ethnicity (Sara Gonzalez)
Measured Thinking (Neil Lutsky)
Imagining a Self (Jessica Leiman)
The Questing Hero (Prof not listed)
Catastrophe (Prof not listed)

Son had Leiman in a class, though not the A&I. Said she was wonderful.

Leiman has a reputation for being awesome. In addition, I know Lutsky is a very popular psych professor, although that class is more a mix of psych, statistics, and cognitive science (by the sound of it). The Questing Hero and Catastrophe are always popular as well - three of my good friends were in the Questing Hero and I’m pretty sure they all loved it.

If you check the course catalogue, it has listed George Shuffelton as the professor for the Questing Hero and Martha Paas as the professor for Catastrpohe. Both are very popular professors. I’ve had Shuffelton before and I loved him. Haven’t had Paas, but have heard mainly good things about her.

I haven’t heard of Gonzales, but the class sounds cool. Hope that helps a little bit! For more detailed listings of professors, class descriptions, etc. you can visit the spring term course catalogue here:

Thank you both for the input! You’ve been very very helpful

No problem! If you have any other questions, feel free to post here or PM me. And to correct the typo in my post above - that’s the fall term class list, as you probably already noticed.
