There may be a lesson in this little video, the way they regroup and carry on at the end. Warning: if you laugh too much, you might be a bad person. ;)

[Ducks blown off their feet by the wind - YouTube](- YouTube)

Ahhhh. the link was for the mobile site and thatâs why it didnât work. This one above should do it.

GMTplus7 - congrats is a bit premature, unfortunately. She is still waiting for one more school, but itâs shaping up to be a repeat of last year. :(

The moral is that the mama duck tries to maintain her composure as her little ones are blown about until she is also taken up by the wind. But in the end, they regroup and head out, ruffled feathers and all.

But it is also really funny and many of us could use a good laugh.

oh, Neato - Iâm so sorry! I hope you have good news from the remaining school youâre waiting on, or that a waitlist will clear, and that your child finds a place at a school this year.

Thanks for sharing the video - such a visual metaphor for this process (and parenting teens in general!). What is that quote? - âThat which doesnât kill us only makes us stronger!"

So it looks like this mama duck needs to smooth her feathers and regroup her little duckling who has very much been tossed about in the wind. Weâll march off, but I think the duckling will be the one leading the way. I just donât know where sheâll be headed, but barring some miracle, it wonât be prep school. Maybe the community college an hour away? Itâs hard to keep walking when youâre surrounded by corn fields. :)

Poor little duckie. Iâm still proud of her though. Sheâs amazing.

I am so sorry for this disappointment for your family. Trite as it sounds, I have no doubt your duckling will come out ahead, given the supportive and strong mama she has standing by her side. I wish you and yours all the best.

Adorable, neato. Great metaphor.
I just love the part where the duckling stops rolling over, and the first thing he/she does is look for MOM!
I also feel so wonderful and safe watching them all line up behind her.
Nature is a force, both good and bad.
Love that mommy duck, too. Held it together for her babies!

Seems to me the little guys were also looking to each other for reassurance.

So, câmon CCâers, not all of you landed on your feet on M10 . . . maybe itâs time to go look for your pre-M10 buddies and see how theyâre doing.
