<p>There are differences between two sets of exams due to the fact one based a national exam system and is not. A-levels can be done in the US very, very ,very few shcools they would be done through CIE. Why do you think that is? Which do you students think is better?</p>

<p>Personally, I prefer the AP exams. </p>

<p>I think A-Level courseworks are a complete waste of time. They take all the freedom and fun away from the classroom, and some classes spend up to a whole trimestre doing just them. Sure, GPA may not be the most objective of measure of academic achievement, but are these courseworks any better as a substitute? By the time a student submits his coursework, half of it has probably been corrected and re-written with the help of the teacher.
A-Levels are slightly more in-depth, but that’s not because US schools are any easier. Normally a UK student takes only 3~5 A2 subjects, but it is quite common for a US student to have taken up to 10 APs by the time he graduates from HS.</p>

<p>Some universities give 12 cerdits for an at A-Level 10 for a B 8 for a C 6 for a D and 4 for an E. That means that 3 A’s would be 36 crdits 2A’s and a B would be 34 cerdits C would be 30 cerdits. What do all of you think of this.</p>
