Does Score Choice make obsolete the old theory that it looks bad to take the SAT more than three or four times? Do colleges know whether or not you used score choice?

It seems that Score Choice really just benefits those who can afford to retest several times.

Score choice means you can prevent College Board from sending the score and it sends nothing to indicate you took the test and withheld a score.

However (a) many high schools put all your scores on your official transcript sent to colleges, and (b) many colleges require that you not exercise score choice and send all scores. So you cannot assume you can necessarily hide a score.
