I got into 6 unis (applied to 18-ish… embarrassed look)

anyway… the one’s I’m considering right now are Duke, Williams and U of Chicago

now… each is an awesome uni in its own right… Williams and Chicago have offered finaid packages that mean about 6ish grand per year parental contribution, Duke has yet to make an offer (some of my finaid documents didn’t make it to IDOC or something and the package had to be resent)…

I don’t know about Duke and U of Chicago but if you’re looking for a small school that will give you a lot of attention then go to Williams. They offer a lot of opportunities and an excellent education! Nevertheless, if you need to be in an urban or even suburban environment then Williams is definetly not for you. It’s very isolated so you might feel out of touch with the world. Otherwise it really is a great school, I’m planning on visiting it this summer to check it out. It’s definetly in my top ten choices :).

I suggest U Chicago. You didn’t tell us anything about yourself though so it’s literally impossible to decide for you. Of course there is always community college.

Umm it all depends on what you are wanting to study, what kind of environment you prefer, and what you hope to get out of college. More info would be great :)

I would go to either Williams or Chicago. It totally depends on the environment you want. Both are GREAT! Try to visit both if you can. It would be a tough decision, I am not even sure what I would do haha. But likely, Chicago would be my choice as it is a great university in a great city.

It might, in the sense that you have less time to dedicate to writing your essays - especially if a prompt asks you why you want to attend that school. Also, a list that big is probably less “tailor-made” to schools that are perfect for you in terms of academics or atmosphere; admissions counsels may pick up on a reason that doesn’t make you the right fit - the kind of thing you might have also realized if your attention wasn’t divided 15-ways.

it drives you up the wall, throws you back down, kicks you in the face and then pushes the entire brick/concrete structure on top of you…

but it is FUN!

of course, this method doesn’t suit everyone. I relate my personality to that of Zaphod (a creation of Douglas Adams) who “handled everything in life with a mixture of extreme genius and naive incompetence, and it was often hard to tell which” =P
