6y = 27
y = 27/6</p>
<p>Now, it did not seem very obvious that 27/6 = 9/2.<br>
I gridded 27/6, but the answer key accepts 9/2 and 4.5</p>

<p>You don’t need to simplify.
A fraction does not have to be reduced unless it will not fit the grid. For example, 15/25 will not fit. You can grid 3/5, 6/10, or 9/15. The decimal form, .6, can also be gridded.

<p>“Inclusive” just means that the endpoints are part of the set. So, if I wanted you to list the “numbers from 100 to 103 inclusive,” you’d write “100, 101, 102, 103.” If I did not say “inclusive” (or if I specifically mention “non-inclusive”), your list would only be “101, 102.”</p>
<p>Just simplify it. Really.</p>
