A Meta-thread to save us all time

HarrietM.

I see $$$ signs here. As in incoming, not outgoing. Want to start a business? I am working on a catchy title for our little corporation as we speak. But I bet you will beat me to it ;).

P.S. Do we have to cut violadad in?

Hey, hey HEY! Those with title suggestions require a cut too. How about Prospy-prosatectomys and prospy-prospectors (for the ones who want a negative and positive overnight visit “outcome”) respectively

Oops-- forgot “prospy-prosthetics” for “artificial” , staged prospective students

Ooh, jym and jmmom. So far so good. I’m happy to cut in anyone with good advice and titles (including the long term consequences outline provided by violadad).

The first thing that occurred to me was Specs and Dr*gs and Rock & Roll, but I can see why that might not be the best choice.

Wait… how about “student stooge”

Or “The Three Stooges”. Wait, might have to pay royalties or copywrite infringement fines or something for that one.

Don’t leave that visit to chance - let STUDENT STOOGE guarantee the right results for your child’s college overnights.

Hmm, not bad so far.

“Weenie for a Day” – thats the ticket.

That’s a different business altogether, jym.

Overnight?
Get it right!
Don’t leave those important impressions to chance!
Hire STUDENT STOOGE to guarantee that your child’s opinion of “that school” is just exactly what you had in mind.

I pondered SHOP, an acronym for Stealthy Helicopter Operational Plan, but it may present marketing issues, receiving far too many google hits.

To keep the clandestine nature below the radar, it will be necessary to devise a marketing and distribution methodolgy that would reach your target audience without attracting attention from those who don’t “need to know”.

“Roommate Rejects”? “Prospy-opia”?

Well harriet-- get your mind out of the gutter. A weenie is a freshman (as well as… well, I thought we werent talking about VDs endowment any more). So how about “Dweeb for a Day”?
I got a million of em’

“Prospy-opia” might work. It says nothing but catches your eye. Also, has a hint of academia and enlightened thought, something the masses will most surely bypass.

I don’t know, prospy-opia looks okay from a distance, but when you get up close. . . .

Sheesh, Harriet- you couldnt see a good name if it came up and hit you in the face

Ahh- so how about “Blind Ambitions”

Harriet M’s marketing jingles are right on target, imo. And I think my opinion is the one that counts… I mean I turned this into the Big Money-Maker that it is about to be, no?

I think we have our Business Plan set. I know a few Venture Capitalists we can shop.

Do those guys have any money any more?!?

Say what?? If Pathway C is My Way, then I’m for Pathway C. Pathway C goes like this:

Kids go off to college, suck up the drama, graduate, and get jobs. Kids do not torment parents at any time. Kids, in fact, worship parents and appreciate their advice.

This the way of Pathway C, according to me and zoosermom. ;)

M0re corporate titles (thanks to a glass of wine with dinner):
Rent-a-Roudy-Roommate
Rent-a-Rabblerouser

Investors?Who needs investors? We’re priceless.
