How many dogs do you currently have? And since you’ve picked out the name… dont you see that as a kink in or armour??? (closes eyes and pretends to be a swamee…) I see a doggie in your future…</p>
<p>haha, jym, only you, me and the next few hundred visitors to this thread will ever know that kink exists. </p>
<p>We have one dog (a Brittany) who is 13. He’s so much like a puppy, you wouldn’t believe it. He still gets down in the puppy stance to play and is a ball of energy. He is partially deaf :(, and the orange circles around his eyes have turned white, but other than that, he’s still a puppy to us.</p>
<p>My youngest son’s friend has a pair of king charles spaniels and they are the nicest cutest dogs. I love our golden retreiver to death but when he jumps up to say hello, you have to brace yourself. Hope you get to keep him. Love the name cody too.</p>

My vote also goes to Cody. It rolls off the tongue easier.
We have three at the moment-- our malinois, who is our wonderful family dog, then younger S. and older daughter each have their own little yappy ones. Younger D. has wanted a corgi since she was a toddler (it’s those Tasha Tudor books!) but we’re in no hurry for a fourth. Older S. spared us-- his birds are easy. I LOVE dogs, but also have visions of the kids heading off to college, getting those first jobs, living in city apartments… and guess who’ll be keeping all those little old dogs? It wouldn’t be the same without them, though. I could never NOT have a dog around!</p>

YES! Thanks for asking! We have kept updated info. on her at the police station and the humane society, but we’ve received no calls on her so far. At this point, we are considering her a full-fledged adoptee! :D</p>

<p>And jym-- are you using a crate with little Cody/Colby? I think it definitely makes housetraining easier (and cleaner)! Our Belgian seemed like he trained himself within days, the two little ones were much tougher.</p>

Yup, we are crate training, but this was inthe evening whe he was out in the house with my son (Cody/colby doesnt watn to be crated when someone is home). The weather was absolutely AWFUL yesterday, and he didn’t like being taken out for a walk in the pouring rain…</p>
<p>That’s just what I was thinking. Teenagers…now I know being an empty nester isn’t all bad. ;)</p>
