A problem with transfering grades from community college to Uni of Iowa

During high school, I took AP Calc class that was considered a Calc 1 dual credit course by Parkland.

However, I wasn’t doing very well in AP Calc, and I forgot to request it to be dropped from Parkland’s transcript until it was past the deadline. I ended up getting a C for AP Calc.

I recently took Calc 1 at Parkland over this summer, and I’m likely to get a B or an A depending on how my finals turned out to be.

If I was to transfer my Parkland grades to University of Iowa, how would they interpret the two different Calc 1 grades?

That’s really up to University of Iowa. Some schools take the credit as a graded course, some take both, some take no grade but just the credit, etc. Every school is different and you just have to find out about their policy.

Uni of Iowa did state that I had to get at least an A in Calc 1 for them to transfer the course.

The it would sound like it won’t matter. Seriously though, this is a question for the admissions office at Iowa, not a random forum.
