hey guys, it’s a pretty weird question…
i’m an int’l applicant from China, where there is no regulation about getting a tattoo
so i got my motto tattooed on my 16th birthday
and in my commonapp essay i wrote sth about the tattoo, cuz it’s what i believe in

whether will it influent my chance negatively or not? cuz tattoo is regulated in US?

thx~
:D

Hi. Tatooing is very well accepted in the US. Many Americans have tattoos these days, so your essay is fine

thank you very much
i’m just worrying about tattooing underage

I think you can be 16 in the US, and still get tatooed with yout parent’s permission. I might be wong… but my brother got tatoos when he was 15 without a problem.

BTW I didn’t know tatooing was common in China… I know it is in Thailand though.

tattoo is NOT common in China…
even not as common as it is in US
just my personal choice~

thx ~
