A question for my Jewish friends

Just one more thought - if she goes in the afternoon, it is possible that there will not be other guests there, in which case it could be slightly awkward for her. Most of the time, a number of people come straight from the funeral, and after that groups come in the evening. When my parents were sitting, a few friends might stop by during the afternoon, but there were definite down periods with no one around. If she texts her friend first, though, it should be fine.

I am touched by your questions and your daughter’s desire to be such a good friend.

A box of See’s candy is always a nice touch and would be enjoyed by everyone.
